Boarding School Overview
Taunton School was founded in 1847 and moved to its present site in 1870 with the original 18th century house, Fairwater, now being a boy’s boarding house. As one of the first independent schools to have accepted both boys and girls (in 1973) we can lay claim to being genuinely co-educational, with an approximate 50/50 gender split. Taunton School International was established in 1996 and in 2012, Taunton School International Middle School was opened.
